A section of
leaders from the ruling National Resistance Movement party in Sironko District
have dismissed reports that they are opposed to the appointment of Allan
Wanambwa and Joshua Nabutewa as Assistant Resident District
Commissioners(ARDCs).
Wanambwa and Nabutewa were recently appointed as
ARDs for Sironko. Nabutewa has since turned down the appointment.
Gerald Simbata an NRM mobilizer in Sironko following
the appointment of the two people, false information was circulated indicating
that a section of NRM leaders were not in support of the appointment. Simbata
says information should be treated with the utmost contempt it deserves.
Speaking at a thanks giving organized by Allan
Wanambwa the newly appointed ARDC, Felix Nambale the Sironko District Youth
Chairperson said they welcome the appointments and want the President to
provide more slots for people that hail from Sironko.
Allan Wanambwa the new Sironko ARDC said he will
champion the fight against corruption, spread patriotism and monitor government
programmes.
