Wakuma has joined the race for the position of Member of Parliament for Bubulo
East Constituency in Namisindwa District.
Wakuma, a member of the ruling National
Resistance Movement (NRM) on Saturday picked nomination forms to contest for
the Parliamentary position.
According to Wakuma, the decision to
contest arises out of a need to have leadership that unites and respects people
to ultimately lead to the development of the constituency. He says that his
leadership will be hands and constantly in touch with the electorate.
Wakuma says that under his leadership, he
will work towards lobbying for an improvement in the state of roads and better
health and education service delivery. He says that there is also need to have
accountability for public funds, something that he is optimistic of
prioritizing once elected.
Wakuma will face Masibo Amos, Musila
John(incumbent), Khaemba Stephen and Khaukha Paul Stephen for a chance to
become the NRM flag bearer for the Bubulo East Parliamentary position.
