Namisindwa District Local Government has
received 1.8 billion shillings meant for the completion of Mukoto Seed
Secondary School.
This was revealed by
Namisindwa District Chairperson Jackson Wakweika. Wakweika says that the funds
were released by the Education Ministry and that a contractor had been hired
with construction commencing at the site. The money will be used to complete
the classrooms, offices and a play ground
Wakweika has urged the
community to support the project, stressing its potential to boost education
standards in the area.
Sophie Namutosi, the
Acting Namisindwa District Education Officer, explained that there are plans to
secure additional funding for Tsekululu Seed School.
Residents Peter Wetaya
and Sarah Bisikwa welcomed the new school, citing the challenges their children
face in accessing secondary education in distant areas.
