Mbale Resident City Commissioner (RCC) George William Wopuwa says that the
current wave of insecurity in Mbale City will be no more.
Mbale City has been characterized by insecurity with
cases of thugs grabbing phones and other property from residents.
According to Wopuwa, there is need for City dwellers
to be safe without any threats. He identified areas like Nabuyonga, Mugisu Hill
and Namatala as hotspots, vowing to work with Police and local leaders to
restore peace and security.
Wopuwa was recently transferred from Mbale District to
Mbale City, replacing Asumin Nasike who was transferred to Fort Portal City as
RCC.
