A section of leaders in Bugisu region have
described the late Umukuka Wilson Wamimbi Weasa as an exemplary leader.
Speaking at the
public viewing of the late Umukuka Wamimbi’s body at Masaba Cultural
Institution in Maluku yesterday, Mike Jude Mudoma the Bamasaba Cultural leader
said the late Wamimbi was also a hard working person who loved Bugisu and
Uganda at large. Mudoma said at the time Wamimbi was the LCV Chairperson for
Mbale District, he championed the fight against grabbing of public land.

Wamimbi to fight corruption needs to be emulated by the young people.

Mbale District Woman Member of Parliament said Umukuka Wamimbi has left a void
in Bugisu. Wamimbi will be laid to rest on Saturday at his ancestral home in
Busano Sub County in Mbale District.
