Ministry of education releases 2023 PLE Results

The release of the Primary Leaving Examinations (PLE) by the Uganda National Examinations has generated excitement among candidates and schools that performed well.


At Prime Junior School in Sironko, Alvin Ivan Walimbwa emerged the best candidate with 7 aggregates. Martin Weanga the director of studies, Prime Junior School says that out of 26 pupils, 18 passed in division one with the rest in division two. Weanga attributed the good performance to a cordial relationship between teachers and parents.

At Mbale Model and Sironko Parent’s primary school, which are under one administration, out of 20 pupils who sat, 15 passed in division one and 5 in division two. Isaiah Sasaga the director Mbale Model and Sironko Parents’ Primary School attributed the good performance to disciplined children and prompt payment of school fees.

At Bugisu Junior School in Mbale City, out of the 22 pupils who sat, 6 passed in division one with the rest in division two. The best pupil was Mabiya Enock Gabriel with 7 aggregates. According to Mabiya, the guidance by his parents and teachers was the reason he excelled. Mabiya aspires to become a lawyer.

Halima Nedeje the head teacher Bugisu Junior School considers the performance good. Nedeje says the school which is just five years old will keep improving academically in the coming national examinations.
