Dan Wetaka a resident
of Simu Sub County in Bulambuli District is on the run for allegedly beating
his wife into coma over the parish development model (PDM) funds.
Stanley Bayole the Bulambuli Resident District
Commissioner says Wetaka’s wife whose names he withheld received one million
shillings under the government’s parish development model. According to Bayole,
the woman spent the money on a heifer without the consent of her husband,
Wetaka.
Wetaka who returned from a drinking spree,
wondered how the wife could buy a heifer without his approval. He reportedly
pounced on the woman and beat him up into coma.
Bayole says the woman is in critical condition
at Mbale Regional Refferal Hospital as the hunt for Wetaka continues.
