A hopeful for the Namisindwa District Woman
Parliamentary position has pledged to prioritize education and health once
elected.
Peace Khalayi made the
pledge on Tuesday while launching her campaign following her nomination to
contest in the NRM party primaries for the position of Woman Member of
Parliament for Namisindwa District.
Khalayi started her
campaign in Buwabwala before extending to extending to other areas in the
District.
She says that her
campaign is premised on the fact that Namisindwa needs a leader willing to
lobby for better services in the education and health sector. Khalayi says that
she intends to carry out village to village campaigns so as closely engage the
voters on her vision for the development of Namisindwa District.
Khalayi will battle
Sarah Khanakwa, Dorothy Nebokhe Walukawu and Grace Namukhula for a chance to
become the NRM flag bearer for the position of Woman Member of Parliament for
Namisindwa District.
