Sarah Nafuna, a mother of four who scored 17 aggregates in the recently released Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) results will pursue her advanced level education under a scholarship.

Nafuna aged 30 defied all odds and scored 17 aggregates at Sironko Parents’ Secondary School.

Speaking at the school’s annual general meeting on Monday, Isaiah Sasaga the Sironko Parent’s School director announced the scholarship saying that in a bid to support girl child education, Nafuna’s determination will encourage other girls to value education.

Lydia Gimono the Sironko District Vice chairperson urged mothers who dropped out of school to borrow a leaf from Nafuna’s story and go back to school.
