The Ministry
of Health has upgraded two health centers in Namisindwa District, a move aimed
at improving healthcare services.
The upgraded health centers are Mukoto Health
Center
Leonard Kitafuja, the Namisindwa District Chief
Administrative Officer, says the health centers will be automatically promoted
to Health Center 3, enabling them to provide more comprehensive services.
Jackson Wakweika, the Namisindwa LCV Chairperson noted
that the health centers had been operating privately, with patients paying for
services with a fair fee. Wakweika is hopeful that the upgrade will bring
government support, including medical staff, security, and infrastructure
development among others.
Mukoto Sub County residents, Peter Wamutu and
Patrick Wasike have welcomed the upgrade saying it will make health care
services more accessible.
