Namisindwa Nurse Held on Theft Allegations

Police in Namisindwa are holding a nurse attached to Bukhabusi Health Centre III and a commercial motorcycle rider (Boda Boda) on allegations of stealing two boxes containing mama kits.


The suspects include; Evelyn Matuka, a resident of Bukhaweka parish, Bukhaweka Sub County and Peter Khisa a resident of Khamwindo village, Shakiridi parish in Bukhabusi Sub County.

They were arrested on the orders of Namisindwa Assistant Resident District Commissioner Bosco Nabongo.

According to Nabongo, the suspects were found transporting the two boxes containing mama kits from Bukhabusi Health Centre III. Nabongo has praised the community members for alerting security about the matter.

Rogers Taitika the Elgon Region Police Spokesman has confirmed the arrest of Matuka and Khisa.

But Matuka dismisses the allegations leveled against her saying she was only transferring the mama kits from Bukhabusi Health Centre III to Buwatuwa Health Center II.
