Mukoto Residents Decry Agricultural Losses Due to Poor Road Network

Residents of Mukoto Sub-County in Namisindwa District have decried the poor road network in their area calling upon government to act.

The residents say that the poor road network has led to significant losses in agricultural produce and also endangered their lives. Kutosi Ekoyata and Masibo Jane Timbiti, both farmers decry the high transportation costs they incur in taking their produce to markets as a result of roads being in a poor state.

Scovia Mutonyi another resident says that because of the poor road network, expectant mothers struggle to get to health centres to access proper care.

Gregory Kutosi, the Mukoto Sub County LC III chairperson has challenged the authorities at Namisindwa District Local Government to improve the state of roads.

Jackson Wakweika the Namisindwa LCV Chairperson has asked residents to remain calm giving assurance that the status of roads in the area will improve.

Peter Wamaana, a hopeful for the Namisindwa County parliamentary position has donated murram to partially improve the roads in his area as the residents await the intervention of the District.
