Following the release of the Uganda Certificate of Education results last week by the Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB), some schools in Bugisu have attributed the good performance to hard work and cordial relationship between the parents and the teachers.

At Sitfed High School in Sironko, the 36 students who undertook the examinations all passed with result one. The best student at Sitfed High School was Apolot Jemima.

Swaibu Welikhe the Sitfed High School head teacher says that apart from the good relationship between the parents and the school, the committed and well-motivated teaching team also contributed to the students’ success in the final examinations.

In Bulambuli District, Tom Gashali the director, Devine College Buyaga says that most of their students scored As and Bs. Gashali applauded the parents for supporting the children which culminated into the good performance. Gashalo also attributes the solid performance to the experience they have garnered in the implementation of the lower secondary school curriculum.

Manana Tom Wodulo whose daughter, Nambafu Jesca Irene performed well credited the school authorities for posting good results in the national examinations.
