Peter Wamana a banker has joined the race for member of parliament for Namisindwa County in Namisindwa District.
Wamana wants to unseat the incumbent Apollo Masika. He made the announcement while handing over 20 iron sheets to Buwatuwa Community School in Buwatuwa Sub County, Namisindwa District.
According to Wamana, he intends to ably represent the people of Namisindwa County once elected by pushing for improved standards in education and health.
Sayidi Wekha the head teacher, Buwatuwa Community Secondary School wants the school to be taken up by government. Wekha says that with a population of more than 100 students, there is need for more teachers to handle the ever growing student population.
Apollo Masika the Namisindwa County legislator has welcomed Wamana’s candidature saying the voters will decide on who leads them in the 2026 general elections.
