Acumude Phoebe 83 years old, a
resident of Anyanga village, Cheleuko parish was assaulted on Tuesday by Joseph
Modo.

Regional Police Commander says that it's alleged that on Tuesday, at around
midday, Modo threatened his father Samson Ipoot with death prompting him to
report the matter at Usuk police station.
According to the Police, when
Modo learnt that his father had taken the matter to the Police, Modo returned
home from his drinking joint and attacked the father. He pulled him out to
the compound and beat him using a big stick which prompted Acumude to
intervene.
However, Modo turned his anger on
Acumude and assaulted her using a stick. She sustained a broken
arm, bruises and multiple injuries all over her body. Acumude was rushed
to Usuk Health Centre but died on arrival.
