Residents of Bunabalayo and Buwatuwa parishes in Buwatuwa Sub County in Namisindwa District are counting loses after heavy rains destroyed their crops, houses and a primary school.
Sam Kundu the LCIII Chairperson for Buwatuwa Sub County says the villages of Nalukatu and Bunabwana are the most affected. Kundu explains that the Piagate Nursery and Primary School’s roof was blown off with children having nowhere to study from.
Peter Mutambo one of the affected residents has asked the district disaster management committee and the political leaders to lobby for support for the affected communities.
