Nathan
Nandala Mafabi, the Forum for Democratic Change-FDC, presidential candidate has
pledged to allocate one hundred million shillings to every village in the
country if elected, in a bid to improve house hold income and stimulate rural
development.
Addressing supporters at Amuria Town
Council and Adipalan market in Kapelebyong district on Monday, Nandala said
each village would receive a grant of 100 million shillings every financial
year to support income generating projects and improve living standards.
Nandala also promised the beneficiaries of
the one million shillings loan that was disbursed under the NRM government’s
Parish Development model that the loan would be recused because the money given
to citizens was far less than what was expected.
Nandala said that the initiative reflects
his commitment to inclusive growth and equitable distribution of national
resources.
