Bulambuli District Local Government
Officials have been asked to always notify the community of projects slated for
implementation.
This call
was made today after residents of Buyaga town council in Bulambuli claimed they
were not aware of a plan to launch maintenance works on the
Buyaga-Bukhulo-Muyembe road.
Wangota
Moses the councilor representing Persons with Disability at Buyaga Town Council
says they have often been told that maintenance works on the road will cost
75million shillings. According to Wangota, they were taken by surprise when
they saw a District caterpillar being brought to the road for launch of
maintenance works.

Zakayo a resident of Industrial cell, in Buyaga town council says the road
which has been in a sorry state with potholes needs to be worked on. Zakayo
says they want quality murrum applied on the road to ease movement of goods.)

authorities to mobilize the masses into embracing government programmes through
timely sharing of information on programmes being implemented.
