The guard identified as Milton Sakula aged 40 was attached to Village bar in Tsabanyanya cell in Industrial City Division. The incident occurred on Sunday at 2:00 am after unknown thugs reportedly raided Village bar.
Lazara Kitutu one of the residents claims that Sakula confronted the thugs but was overpowered and killed.
James Sakula, a father to the deceased has urged the public to provide information that could lead to the arrest of the thugs.
Elgon Region Police Spokesman Rogers Taitika has confirmed the incident. Police have called for calmness amidst ongoing investigations into the matter.
