Police are searching for four-year-old George Mugoda, the son of the Pallisa district finance officer Herbert Kirya Sajja, who was kidnapped from his home in Kalalaka B Cell, West Ward on December 9, 2025.
Sajja had left for work, while the boy’s mother, Jessica Biribawa, was shopping in Iganga District when the child went missing.
Fredrick Kyempasa, the Bukedi North Region police spokesperson, said the suspect, using phone number 0747290720, contacted a Boda boda rider, Abubakar Espan, and instructed him to go to the victim’s home to obtain the mother’s phone number.
The suspect later called Biribawa and sent a threatening message, prompting her to return home, only to discover that Mugoda was missing.
The matter was reported to the police, which opened a case of abduction, recorded statements from witnesses, and arrested two boda boda riders, Abubakar Espan and Peter Malinga, both residents of Pallisa. They are currently being held at Pallisa Central Police Station to assist with the investigations. Efforts are ongoing to trace the suspects and the kidnap victim.
