Islamic Primary Leaving Examination Results Out

The Islamic Primary Leaving Examination Board (IPLE) under the Uganda Muslim Supreme Council (UMSC) Education Department has released last years’ Islamic Primary Leaving Examination results.

 


Speaking at the release of the results, His Eminence Sheikh Muhammad Ali Waiswa, the 2nd Deputy Mufti applauded the IPLE board members and staff for their efforts in delivering quality Muslim education.

 

Waiswa commended the new approaches being implemented, which have resulted in a trusted and authentic examination process across the country. He urged Muslim stakeholders, including parents, to support the board in its mission to elevate Muslim education to the highest standards.

 

Sheikh Waiswa also emphasized the importance of reviewing the existing syllabus to incorporate specialized areas within Islamic theological studies and further research.

 

According to Sheikh Ismail Kazibwe, a total of 6,532 candidates sat for the examination from 371 registered schools across 62 districts. 4,817 students passed in division one, 1,107 in division two and 204 in third division.

 

The top performing schools included Al Furqaan Primary School in Mbale District, Sumayya International School, Masaka District, Al Bayan Quran Memorization Centre, Iganga, Omar Bin Al Khatab Islamic Centre, Iganga and Sulaina Sofraa Primary School, Jinja.
