Bulambuli Resident District Commissioner Stanley Bayole says
contractors found doing shoddy works on government projects will face the law.
Bayole said
this at the launch of construction of a four classroom block at St. Joseph’s
Secondary School, Buyaga in Buwanyaga town council in Bulambuli District. The
shillings 400 million construction project has been handed to Mom Construction
Limited.
Bulambuli
County Member of Parliament Isaac Katenya has decried the tendency by some
contractors to drag works on government projects saying it affects service
delivery. According to Katenya, he will not hesitate to engage the state house
anti-corruption unit or the office of the IGG should shoddy works be cited
anywhere in the implementation of the construction project.

Wotsuna the head teacher St. Joseph’s Secondary School says the construction of
the four-class room block comes at a time the school is struggling with a
student population of 1,800. Wotsuna says there is need for more classrooms to
match the increasing student population.
