The acting Health Officer for Sironko District Paul Wakoko has condemned the conduct of a health worker Andrew Masiliwa accused of defiling a 13 year old girl at Buwasa Health Centre IV in Buwasa Sub County.
Wakoko says it is absurd that Masiliwa reportedly defiled a minor who had gone for treatment for flu at Buwasa Health Centre.
According to Wakoko, they had received several complaints that Masiliwa was allegedly raping pregnant mothers seeking antenatal care at Buwasa Health Centre IV. Wakoko says they notified the office of the chief administrative officer to have the suspect transferred to Butandiga Health Centre III but he defied the request.
Rogers Taitika the Elgon Region Police Spokesman has asked Masiliwa who is currently on the run to voluntarily hand in himself.
