A landslide in Buluganya Sub County, Bulambuli District has left
close to seven people dead.
Emmanuel Sabunyo a
resident of Buluganya says the landslide which struck at 3pm buried seven
people, animals, crops and houses. Sabunyo says the landslide struck following
heavy rains that hit the area on Thursday afternoon.
According to Sabunyo,
seven people were buried after the house they were taking shelter from the rain
was swept by landslides.

Resident District Commissioner has confirmed the incident saying that so far
one body has been recovered and the community is using hand hoes to pick out
more bodies.
