The
construction of the new Sironko District Local Government offices is underway;
this is according to the LCV Chairperson David Livingstone Giluli.
This pronouncement was made by
Giluli on Tuesday at a consultative meeting at Nakirungu Secondary School in
Busulani Sub County.
According to Giluli, Shs 3 billion
has been earmarked for the construction of the offices and the Finance Ministry
has already released Shs 400million shillings to start the construction works.
Nelson Kirenda the Sironko Chief
Administrative Officer says that government will disburse the funds for the
construction of the offices in installments. Kirenda says the new structure
will be a storied building and construction is expected to take one year.
Isaiah Sasaga Wanzira, the Budadiri East legislator credited himself and Budadiri West legislator Nathan Nandala Mafabi for lobbying for the funds towards the construction of the offices.
