Mbale RCC Warns Against Fraud in UPDF Recruitment

Acting Mbale Resident City Commissioner Asumin Nasike says any cases of fraud in the ongoing countrywide recruitment exercise of the Uganda People’s Defense Forces (UPDF) will lead to arrest of the perpetrators.



Speaking to Elgon FM, Nasike said that shortlisted applicants for the UPDF recruitment exercise in Mbale City and Mbale District will be screened on Monday, 8 July, 2024 at Mbale District offices in Maluku ward.

According to Nasike, Mbale City and Mbale District have 58 and 49 slots respectively in the UPDF recruitment exercise. She says that the shortlisted candidates are expected to provide their original national identity cards and academic documents. Conscripts into the UPDF must be Ugandans between the age of 18 and 22 years and ready to undergo medical and body fitness tests.
