Julius
Nakiyi a former Parliamentary aspirant for Budadiri East in Sironko District says he will contest for the position in
2026.
Speaking at the belated NRM/NRA victory celebrations for
Sironko District on Friday last week, Nakiyi declared his intentions to contest
for the Budadiri East Parliamentary position in 2026.
According to Nakiyi, if the NRM party primaries are free and
fair, the losers will back the winners and party flag bearers in the general
elections.
Nakiyi is expected to take
on former Budadiri East legislator, Vincente Woboya and John Kiwungulo for the
NRM party flag for the position of Member of Parliament for Budadiri East. The
winner will take on Forum for Democratic Change’s Isaiah Sasaga, the incumbent
