Budadiri
West Member of Parliament Nathan Nandala Mafabi has handed out maize flour and
sugar to the Muslim community in Sironko.
The items include 4,000 kilograms of maize flour
and 2,000 kilograms of sugar. The items were delivered by Rev. Jackson Magombe,
the director of operations and communications in the office of the Member of
Parliament for Budadiri West.
According to Magombe, the donation aims at
supporting the Muslims during the ongoing holy month of Ramadan. He stated that
the consignment will be distributed among 153 mosques in Budadiri West
constituency, a tradition that Nandala has upheld every fasting season.
Sheikh Abdulhakim Mugoya, the Sironko District
Kadhi welcomed the donation urging other leaders to emulate Nandala. Sheikh
Mugoya described Nandala as a dedicated leader who supports both religious and
community initiatives.
Mustafa Wazangilo, a resident of Bukiyiti town council
said the support is timely since many families were struggling to find food for
the morning and evening meals during Ramadan.
