Schools in Manafwa and Namisindwa Credit UACE Success to Teacher-Student-Parent Cooperation

A section of schools in Manafwa and Namisindwa Districts in Bugisu Sub-region have attributed their success in the Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) examinations to cooperation between teachers, students and parents.


The Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB) on Friday last week released the UACE results were the girls outshone the boys.

Bessie Kakama, the Head teacher Destiny High School, Kaato in Buwangani Town council in Manafwa district, says that out of the 40 students who sat for the examinations, their best students scored 17, 16 and 15 points respectively.

Rachael Mutonyi, the Head teacher, Mandela Comprehensive High school in Lwakhakha Town council in Namisindwa district says that their top performers were Masawi Lydia, Micheal and Kakayi Claire. The three students scored 16, 14 and 13 points respectively. According to Mutonyi, 15 students undertook the national examinations.

Mutonyi attributes the sound performance to hard work and cooperation among the teachers, students and parents.
