The mother of four children in Sironko district who doubles as female councilor representing Kama town council in  Sironko district has excelled after scoring 15 points  during Uganda advanced Certificate of Education [UACE] 2025 Exams.

Evelyn Nafula, aged 46, who sat for her UACE examination at Sironko Parents was given a full scholarship by Sironko Parents Secondary School located at Sironko town council in Sironko district where she sat UACE exams from. She was offering HLD combination.

According to Isaiah Sasaga, Member of Parliament for Budadiri East and director of Sironko Parents, the school fully sponsored Nafula to fulfill her dream of becoming a teacher, which she had abandoned in 1998 after completing Senior Four due to lack of school fees.

Sasaga says this sponsorship is part of his initiative to improve education in his constituency. He notes that Sironko Parents had about 33 students taking the 2025 UACE exams, with the top student being Krystel Keziah, who scored 16 points in the PEM combination.

Nafula says she faced challenges balancing schoolwork and family responsibilities as a mother and district leader. Her last-born is currently at University, while her other children have completed their education.

She urges mothers who dropped out of school due to various challenges to return and complete their studies, emphasizing that today's generation values education.
