Budadiri East Member of Parliament Isaiah Sasaga on Sunday donated land
to Christ the King Kalawa, Budadiri Catholic parish for the setting up of a
church building.
The land donated
is found in Sugutu village, Bumalimba Sub County in Sironko District.
Speaking at the
handover of the land, Sasaga explained the need to save Christians from having
to move long distances for prayers by having a church set up.

Wandera the parish priest for Christ the King Kalawa-Budadiri expressed
happiness with the donation and urged other leaders to emulate Sasaga.
Wandera said that
many Christians have been staying away from attending prayers citing the long
distance they have to travel to access church. Following the land acquisition,
Wandera says construction works of the church will soon start.
