Police identifies the suspect as Robert Musamali. Rogers
Taitika the Elgon Region Police Spokesman says Musamali was apprehended after
they found him with goat’s meat suspected to have been stolen from Busiu town
council.
Musamali and others still at large are suspected to have
stolen and slaughtered the goats before transporting the meat to various
destinations.
He says Musamali and another person currently on the run were
intercepted at the Mbale, Butaleja junction at around 4:30am; carrying the meat
on a Bajaj motorcycle registration number UEU 776L.
Musamali was arrested while his accomplice took off. The motorcycle and
the meat were impounded.
