The residents of Bumulekhwa and Butsema Parishes under Kitsi zone in Nalondo Subcounty in Manfawa district have threatened to carry out more demonstrations if they are not granted their own Subcounty proposed to be kitsi

The residents in the two parishes of Bumulekhwa and Butsema want the district leadership to create them their own Kitsi Subcounty accusing their leaders from Wanga and Nalondo parishes for being corrupt and discriminative in implementation of government programs and sharing of political positions

A section of residents last week held a terrible demonstration where they slaughtered a dog and buried it on the proposed boundary separating kitsi zone from Nalondo Subcounty.

During the consultative meeting held on Saturday at Kitsi PAG church, the residents unveiled their dissatisfaction with the leadership of Nalondo Subcounty and proposed to officially forward the matter to the district headquarters and if their request is not honored, they will continue with the demonstration.

The residents, Wabikomba Vincent, Wepukhulu Derick Rogers and Wamana Richard accuse their leaders for holding all key political positions and have failed to exhibit a fair and balanced leadership.

John Samuel Kundu, the elderly councilor Nalondo Subcounty says kitsi people are always discriminated and despised for being illiterate and incapable to the extent that they are denied equal opportunities in service delivery, government programs and participation in political positions.

Khainza Petwa Nambafu the Nalondo Sbcounty Speaker elaborates that despite of their requisition through the previous council minutes of 2016 proposing the creation of Kitsi Subcounty, to

date they have never received any positive response.

Efforts to get a comment from Kigayi Kimono Hosea the Manafwa LCV Chairperson were futile.
