There is a clash between the political and technical wing of Sironko District Local Government.

The clash emanates from the poor local revenue collections from the various entities. David Livingstone Giruli the Sironko LCV Chairperson accuses the technical wing of under declaration of local revenue. Giruli says this has negatively affected the provision of services to the people. He says even the allowances of District Councillors are yet to be cleared.

Hebert Musika the councillor representing Nalusala Sub County says councillors are demanding for allowances amounting to twenty million shillings. Musika says that despite setting out a plan to collect one billion shillings from local revenue, only 600 million shillings was realized. He says the shortfall explains the failure to clear allowances of the 76 District Councillors.

Luke Lukoda the Sironko District Chief Administrative Officer has described the allegations as baseless saying no staff is allowed to collect local revenue. Lukoda says that all money is banked on the jDistrict account by companies allocated to manage the various utilities.
