Police
identifies the three guards as Otulo Emmanuel, Odira Francis Bob and Traleti
Pascal. They are attached to Tight Security Limited.
Rogers Taitika
the Elgon Region Police Spokesman says the three guards are reported to have
robbed over 20 million shillings from an Indian National, Dharmesh Makwan, a resident of Mooni ward in
Mbale City.
Taitika says that on Monday
this week at around 6:15pm, the three guards entered Dharmesh’s room, put him
at gunpoint and demanded for money. Dharmesh handed over a bag containing the
money to the guards who later fled.
He made an alarm attracting
neighbors who went in pursuit of the guards. The guards were corned and the bag
recovered with only 13million shillings. Taitika says that investigations into
the matter are ongoing.
