Jackline Namakhonje the head teacher Namatsale Primary School has dismissed allegations of extortion from Primary seven leavers.
According to Namakhonje, she allowed pupils of Mbale Model School to sit for their Primary Leaving Examinations of 2020 at her school since they had no center number.
According to Namakhonje, despite incurring expenses of printing testimonials for the pupils from Mbale Model, she freely handed them to the current leadership of the school. She says reports that she extorted money from parents are not true and only aimed at tarnishing her image.
She has advised parents with pending testimonial issues to pick them from Mbale Model School since she handed them over to them. Some parents had accused Namakhonje of extorting 10,000 shillings from them before they can be issued with testimonials.
Mukisa Nelson the Director of Studies Mbale Model School has admitted receiving the result slips and testimonials from Namakhonje. Mukisa says this was after the District Education office intervention.
