Uganda Cranes will start late preparations for their AFCON qualifiers encounter against Tanzania due to the running leagues across the world.
The Cranes usually start their preparations a month prior to the start of the qualifiers to give enough room for the players to spend time together and also enable the coach to make selections.
But FUFA Deputy CEO-Football, Decolus Kiiza said that the team would commence training with the local players two weeks before the start of their match.
However, in accordance with FIFA regulations, foreign-based players would only be able to join the team nine days before the match because many of the players are still having engagements with their clubs.
Uganda Cranes is currently at the bottom of Group F having garnered one point from their two previous matches. They now face a crucial encounter against Tanzania, who they share points with. Algeria currently holds the top spot in the group with six points, while Niger follows closely behind with two points.
