Mabala Moses Natala, an independent aspirant for the Bukigai County Parliamentary position in Bududa District says that there is a need for a common voice between leaders of Bududa and Manafwa to compel government to work on the Bududa-Bubulo Circular road.

Bududa residents on Thursday staged a peaceful demonstration to express their dissatisfaction with the poor state of the 28-kilometer Bubulo-Bududa Circular road.

The Residents accused their leaders of failing to lobby for the road’s tarmacking. They also expressed frustration with President Yoweri Museveni’s government, which they said has made unfulfilled promises of tarmacking the road for decades.

Now Mabala Moses Natala says that leaders in Manafwa and Bududa need to unite and work towards pushing for the tarmacking of the road. Mabala says that there is an urgent need for the government to improve the state of the road. Mabala says that he is following up with the relevant authorities to ensure that the road is worked on.

Mabala has also dismissed reports that he has bowed out of the Bukigai Parliamentary race for one of the candidates. According to Mabala, he was not able to participate in the NRM primaries because he was out of the country. He says that he will now vie for the position as an independent candidate.

Mabala is expected to battle the NRM flag bearer Wabusani Stephen Makwa, independents Kigai Moses Wamoto, Wakimwayi Joel and Wakwabubi Davis.
