Police in Mbale city are holding a 20-year-old man on allegations of vandalizing a chain link fence for Busamaga Health Centre III in Busamaga ward, Industrial City Division.
Rogers Taitika, the Elgon Region Police Spokesperson identifies the suspect as Jackson Wamboya, a resident of Busamaga ward. According to Taitika, the suspect was at 9pm arrested by guards attached to the health center after he was got vandalizing the fence.
Geoffrey Wanyama the in charge of Busamaga health center III says the habit of vandalizing the fence forced them to employ guards. Wanyama says that more than 100 million shillings was spent on putting up the fence.
Johnson Kanene the chairperson management for Busamanga health center III has asked the community to own the facility in order to have improved service delivery.
