year old Fred Walunwe of Butsabosi village, Kabole parish in Bumwoni Sub
County, Namisindwa District is being held on allegations of theft.
George Walubengo one the residents says that
the area has experienced a spate of theft. Walubengo says this prompted a house
to house search operation of those they suspect to be behind the theft.
Suspected stolen items
like bicycles, radio and television sets and machetes were found in his house.
The residents wanted to lynch Walunwe but was saved by the LCIII Chairperson
for Bumwoni Sub County Michael Khaukha.
Khaukha has confirmed
the incident saying that the suspect was handed over to Munamba Police with all
exhibits.
