Shedrack Masaaka, the Busulwa Boda Boda stage
chairperson in Tsekululu sub county, Namisindwa District is among the students
sitting for the Uganda Certificate of Education examinations(UCE).
Masaaka aged 35 also a businessman with a
wholesale shop in Busulwa trading centre says the urge to learn English and
solve mathematical problems. According to Masaaka, he dropped out of school in
2008 but opted to return to school in order to cope with the changing demands
of the education system.
Masaaka is optimistic of posting good results
in the examinations. He has urged young people to utilize their school time
well.
William Lusayi, the Namisindwa District
Inspector of Schools says 1766 candidates are sitting for the Uganda
Certificate of Education Examinations which started on Monday. According to
Lusayi, 961 are male while 805 are female candidates sitting at 7 examination
centres in 14 secondary schools.
