Police in
Industrial City Division in Mbale City are holding Rajab Masaba aged 29 on
allegations pouring acid on his wife he accuses of engaging in adultery.
Masaba is a resident of Namabasa IV lower cell,
Namabasa ward, Industrial City Division in Mbale City.
Julius Muchuma, the defense secretary for Namasaba
IV lower cell says the suspect and his wife Aisha Nabwire aged 19 were staying
in separate rooms. This is because Masaba suspected his wife of engaging in
adulterous activities.
Muchuma explains Masaba got Aisha read handed
having sex with another man. He says Masaba decided to pour acid on Nabwire.
Nabwire was severely burnt and she is now admitted at Mbale Regional Referral
Hospital
