Vulnerable people in
Moru parish, Kasasira Sub County in Kibuku District have received food and
other essential items from a local group; Obumu Ngo Mani meaning Unity is
strength.
The group donated items including maize flour,
sugar, cosmetics and soap.
Fatuma Nakato, the group coordinator says they
started with 30 members with an aim of helping the needy, lame, elderly and the
sick. Nakato urges other community members with a touch for humanity to join
the group. She says that through concerted effort, they can extend support to
vulnerable groups.
Wilberforce Kawuli, Jane Matama, Topista Baluka
are some of the beneficiaries. They applauded the group for the support and
called upon government and other organizations to provide more support.
