The recently sacked officials in the Bamasaba Cultural Institution, Inzu Ya Masaba say the decision was illegally made.

The Bamasaba Cultural Leader, Jude Mike Mudoma last weekend announced changes in is cabinet, dropping Prime Minister Ambassador Charles Walimbwa Peke. Walimbwa was replaced with Paul Mwambu.

Others dropped include; Nelson Wedayila (Cultural Division Minister), Ahamada Washaki (Special Envoy, Peace and Reconciliation), and Difasi Wabuya (Minister for Lands and Assets).

Now Nelson Wedayila says the decision was done illegally because the Bamasaba Cultural leader had deliberately refused to constitute and convene a general assembly since he appeared in the gazette August, 2023. Wedayila accuses Mudoma of living in fear of a general assembly to check his leadership.

Walimbwa also says that his sacking was illegal since his appointment was not approved or endorsed by the general assembly which was not in place.

Steven Masiga the Bamasaba Cultural Institution Spokesman has urged those relieved of their duties to accept change saying reshuffles are part of governance.
