His Eminence, Sheikh Shaban Ramadhan Mubaje, the Mufti of Uganda has met a delegation of Greater Mpigi Muslim leaders led by their Kadhi, Sheikh Muhammad Kabuye. In his speech to the Mufti, on behalf of other leaders, Sheikh Muhammad Kabuye expressed gratitude to Sheikh Mubajje for his exemplary leadership.
He appealed to the Mufti to come to their rescue and consider Greater Mpigi when it comes to bursary opportunities. He also requested the Mufti to address the issue of individuals from Greater Mpigi who have crossed over to the Kibuli Muslim faction and have refused to hand over Uganda Muslim Supreme Council-UMSC properties.
In his speech, Sheikh Mubaje lamented the ongoing conflicts within the Muslim communities in the country. He expressed his gratitude to Muslim elders like Sheikh Obeid Kamulegeya, the former Chief Kadhi of Uganda and Sheikh Kamoga Muhammad, the Amir Ummah, the Head of the Jamatil Dawatil Salafiyah and others for promoting unity among Muslims.
