LCI Chairperson Survives Lynching Over Theft Allegations

The LCI chairperson for Buwambwa village, Namitsa Sub County in Namisindwa district, Paul Mulongo survived being lynched on allegations of being behind the theft of a cow.


Safu Sistangi, a resident says that thugs broke into Watanguna Wangatsi’s kraal on Sunday night and went away with his cow. Watanguna reported the matter to police and its canine unit employed a sniffer dog to track the thieves. The sniffer dog ended up at Mulongo’s home prompting residents to attempt to lynch him. The police however saved Mulongo.


Solome Juliet Namara the Namisindwa Deputy Resident District Commissioner has condemned Mulongo’s action saying leaders should be exemplary.
