Humanity First Uganda through its department of gift of sight is set to carry out surgery on over three hundred patients with cataract.
Ali Bashir the programs coordinator at Humanity First Uganda says that they started out with a screening exercise at Budadiri Health Centre IV. Bashir says that over 800 people were screened for various eye problems and those with minor illnesses were treated while those found to have cataract were referred to Mbale Regional Referral Hospital for surgery.
Sanula Masibo aged 62 from Bumboyi village who has undergone eye surgery says her sight has been restored.
Morris Okanya a teacher another beneficiary of the health camp has asked the public to always carry out routine body check-up.
