Ahmed Elwelu a radio presenter working with Big FM in Mbale City is seeking for 5million shillings to have his son amputated.
The son’s right hand is decomposing after he was allegedly injected expired drugs by an intern doctor at Mbale Regional Referral Hospital.
Elwelu Ahmed also known as ‘Brother Amos’ says that following the injection by an intern doctor he does not name, his son started feeling pain and inflammation. Elwelu says that the hand started decomposing and doctors advised him to find five million shillings to have the hand amputated.
When contacted, Stephen Obbo the Director Mbale Regional Referral Hospital said they were carrying out an investigation.
