Teenage mothers in Bubulo East County in Namisindwa
District are to access free education courtesy of a United States of America
based foundation.

education officer says that during the coivd lock down more than 6,000 girl
children at primary and secondary level aged between 11 to 15 years got
pregnant.Kuloba
says that most girl children abandoned school for early marriage.
Addressing a section
of teenage mothers at Magale Catholic Church in Magale town, Sana Rupani
one of USA foundation leaders told them that their area legislator John Musila
while on his parliamentary work in the USA asked for support towards the
teenage mothers. Rupani said they decided to come to Uganda on fact finding
mission.
Following the
assessment, Rupani says they will educate the teenage mothers through to
secondary up to university level and those willing to go for vocational studies
will also be supported.

East MP urged the teenage mothers to ably utilise the opportunity to go back to
school for better future. Musila has called for responsible parenting to tackle
teenage pregnancies.
