Bulambuli District Woman Member of Parliament Irene Muloni has handed over an ambulance from the Ugandan Government.
In Bugisu sub-region, Bulambuli and Bududa Districts received an ambulance each to aid in moving ambulances from hard to reach areas to health centres for delivery.
Speaking at the handover of the ambulance for Bulambuli District, Muloni said she lobbied for two ambulances; one for Bududa and another for Bulambuli. According to Muloni, fuel worth two million shillings will be provided on quarterly basis and no patient will fork out any money for fuel costs.
Anita Waisa the in charge of Muyembe health center IV says the ambulance will ease the movement of expectant mothers from hard to reach areas like Buluganya and Bumasobo.
